Professional Development Courses

Certified HERS Raters are required to complete RESNET recertification requirements once every three years, by performing one of the following three options:

  • Complete 18 hours of RESNET-approved Professional Development Hours (PDHs)
  • Pass the RESNET National Rater exam
  • Attend the RESNET Conference

All RESNET PDH courses are free for BER Raters and can be accessed by logging into your BER Rater account. If you are a BER Rater, do not register for the course on this webpage. You may view the RESNET PDH courses under the Videos tab and pay for the quiz if you wish to earn the PDHs. PDH quizzes cost $10/PDH hour for BER raters.

BER Raters are also members of the NEHERS Alliance where they may watch monthly webinars and earn PDHs by visiting the Members Corner of the NEHERS website.

If you are not a BER Rater, and would like to learn more about working with BER, please visit our HERS Rating Provider webpage. To apply, please complete BER's HERS Rater online application.
